Simon Drew

Simon Drew works in pen and ink with an emphasis on wildlife and everyday subjects from his gallery and studio in Dartmouth. His nonsense verse and drawings illustrate greetings cards and other gift items, and he's always said that his aim is to follow the maxim of Paul Klee who tried "not to reproduce the visible, but to make visible”. However he has usually ended up producing nonsense and has been described as “half artist, half wit”. We think he's as mad as a box of frogs, and we absolutely love his range of birthday cards - especially his mesmerising "Spot the ..." range of greetings cards, which can be a very dangerous distraction from work!
