Abigail Mill trained at the Cumbria College of Art and Design in embroidered textiles, graduating in 1990, after which she was offered exhibition opportunities immediately, and set up her business with the help of The Princes Trust. Over the years she has developed her own unique style and technique of freehand machine embroidery. She is inspired by her local Norfolk and Suffolk landscapes, as well as quintessentially English themes.
Abigail Mill's greetings and birthday cards are all constructed by hand. They are made from small, very high quality prints taken from an original embroidery, handfinished with glitter and then float-mounted onto a quality background card. Some have been designed with particular occasions in mind - as wedding anniversary cards, christening and new home cards.
