We are delighted to dispatch to destinations worldwide, subject to our stated delivery charges.

Charges for delivery to UK addresses (including N. Ireland & BFPO):

Fully-paid orders which have been authorised & approved by our card processor will be posted or dispatched to you on the same or subsequent working day. We do not dispatch orders at the weekend or on UK public holidays.

Please note that if you order advent calendars, calendars, gifts or wrapping paper, these will be dispatched in a packet which will probably not fit through your letter box. If you are out when delivery is attempted, the Postman will take the items back to your local Delivery Office, and should leave a "Sorry you were out" card. Please telephone the number on the card and arrange redelivery at a time to suit.

We take no responsibility for any failure to deliver, in the UK or elsewhere.

All cards and other items are packed and dispatched in pristine condition. We take no responsibility for damage to products suffered during the delivery process.

Standard Delivery terms (UK only)

Most UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail First Class, however we may send parcels weighing more than 2kg by other delivery services, and we reserve the right to make alternative delivery arrangements if we see fit.

Most mail posted to UK addresses using the Royal Mail First Class service arrives one working day after dispatch. However, if you wish to be absolutely safe, please allow three working days for delivery, especially during the busy pre-Christmas period.

Guaranteed Delivery terms (UK only)

If you would like your order to be posted by Special Delivery, by which the Royal Mail guarantees delivery on the next working day following posting, please request this service where prompted during the order process (for the higher shipping cost of £5.00). Please note that your signature will be required by the Postman.

Orders dispatched by Special Delivery on Fridays may not be delivered to you until Monday.

VAT

All prices shown on this website included VAT at the standard rate (if applicable).

If you are not resident in the UK for tax purposes, and have placed an order for delivery outside the European Community, we can repay the VAT to you. Please send us an email quoting your order reference and we will arrange a refund to your payment card. Countries and territories outside the EC Fiscal (VAT) area include (amongst many others) the Channel Islands, the Canary Islands and Gibraltar.

If you are a diplomat or FCO staff working abroad, and wish to export our goods via FCO diplomatic channels, we can also repay the VAT on your order. Please arrange for your embassy to authorize, date and stamp our invoice as "received", and return it to us within 3 months of your order, and we will refund the VAT to your payment card.

Payment

Payment must be received in full before the order will be dispatched.

We accept payment in Pounds Sterling only, by credit or debit card (but not American Express or Diners) or cleared personal cheque.

Confirmation of orders

We will send you an email to confirm receipt of your order following the successful authorisation of your payment card transaction.

We will send you a further email to confirm dispatch of your order in due course.

If you do not appear to receive these automatic emails, please check your “spam” filter in case they have been mistakenly identified as junk mail. If you are still unable to find them, please contact us to enquire about the status of your order.

Cancellation of orders

If you wish to cancel an order, please inform us as soon as possible, as orders are packed and dispatched almost immediately during the working week.

If you change your mind about an order after it has been dispatched, please return it to us in the original protective envelope (or other packaging) and we will refund the cost of all items received in pristine condition. We will not refund any postage charges incurred by you or us.

Website privacy & information security policy

In order to provide the services and products available through the website, we will hold certain personal information relating to you (as provided by you during the registration process). We have obligations in relation to your personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998.

By providing personal information, you agree that we may use this information for the operation of the website and the provision of the services and the products to you.

Where you provide information about other people (for example their name, date of birth or address) you also confirm that you have the consent of these people to provide us with that information.

Any personal information that we collect from you will be used solely for the purposes of operating the website and providing the services and products to you. We will not disclose your information to any outside organisation except as part of the operation of the website and/or the provision of the services and products to you, or where we are legally obliged to do so.

The personal information that you provide will be securely stored within the website. Should you provide personal information over the phone, any temporary notes made on paper will be shredded as quickly as possible.

The accuracy of your personal information is dependant upon the accuracy of the information that you provide. We will not verify personal information provided by you and we shall not be responsible for errors or problems that arise as a result of inaccurate information submitted by you.

We reserve the right from time to time to notify you (via email and post) of other products and services. You will be given the opportunity to opt-out at the time of mailing if you do not wish to receive further information notices.

Limitation of liability

Orchard Cards Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents and any other party involved in creating and maintaining the website hereby exclude all and any liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage incurred by:

- Interruption of the operation of the business including, but not limited to, website downtime, postal strikes, Acts of God etc.

- Viruses that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing the website.

- Your downloading of any material from the website or any websites linked to the website.

- Your use of our Date Reminder Service. Whilst we take every reasonable precaution and care in relation to the provision of the Reminder Service, we make no guarantees to the contents or operation of the Reminder Service. Your use of the Reminder Service is done so entirely at your own risk and we do not accept any liability whatsoever for losses or damages that you may suffer as a result.

- Offence caused by or mistakes made in your message, where you have asked us to send an item directly to a third-party recipient. We will copy your message exactly as entered by you during the “checkout” process and will not correct any mistakes in the message or recipient address that you may have made.

- Failure of the Royal Mail or other delivery companies to deliver your order, or for damage suffered during the delivery process.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you for all and any damages and/or losses exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the website, purchasing and/or enjoying our products or using the services provided via the website.

Disclaimers

Whilst we shall endeavour to ensure that the information and images on the website are true and correct, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on the website.

We may make changes to the material on the website, or to the services, the products and/or the prices described in the website, at any time and without notice. The material on the website may be out of date, and we make no commitment to update such material.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The Terms above shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and disputes arising in connection with our business shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Any reference in the Terms above to “we” or “us” or “our” is a reference to the company (Orchard Cards Ltd) and any reference to “you” or “your” is a reference to any user of the website and, where relevant, the recipient of any product or service from the website.
