Scott Morrish is a talented photographer who takes his inspiration from the natural environment in Britain, especially the South-West. From maritime landscapes to detailed botanical close-ups, his photographs truly stand out from the rest.
With his wife Susanna, he has established a publishing house, Glebe Cottage Studio, to market his photographic work, mainly in the form of greeting cards. They have made every effort to make their product as eco-friendly as possibly, by using vegetable-based inks, recycled paper for envelopes, FSC certified board for the cards themselves, green energy and compostable packaging – an approach puts them at the forefront of the greetings card industry in the UK.

Annie Tempest was born in Zambia, but returned to the UK with her parents when they decided it had become too dangerous stay. Educated at St Mary’s Ascot, she was severely dyslexic but good at sport, although surprisingly didn’t discover her gift for drawing until she had idle time to fill in during her twenties. Her talents landed her a book deal, and then a cartoon strip “The Yuppies” in the Daily Mail in the late 8o’s, before moving on to the much-loved Tottering-by-Gently cartoon (based on her own family background) that she currently publishes weekly in Country Life magazine.

Gillian Pattinson attended the Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting in London, intending to study calligraphy, but marriage and four children intervened.
Moving to Wester Ross in 1986 Gillian found the stunning scenery overwhelmingly compelling, and just had to paint. She now also runs art courses, from her home in Kishorn, attracting tutors of international renown and students from all over the world.

Simon Drew’s witty and highly original drawings have been a favourite with Orchard Cards’ customers from the beginning. His series of “Spot the …” picture puzzles are particularly popular.
Simon works in pen and ink, with the emphasis on wildlife and everyday subjects, and exhibits in his own gallery in Dartmouth and the Chris Beetles Gallery in St James’s, London.
The range of blank greetings cards are larger than usual (but still qualify as a Standard Letter for the Royal Mail) so feel rather luxurious despite their good-value price of £1.75.
